We have eaten at Pizza Outback for 30+ years. Lately there have been changes, either chef, management, ownership, etc which has led us to never return. The quality of food, size of portions (and I get this) and service is not what it used to be. Even their delicious pesto dressing has suffered. Most recently I used the bathroom. I am surprised they pass inspections with the partial wall missing in the bathroom right across from where dishes, condiments, etc are stored. Makes me wonder just how clean is the food

We live in taos and don't eat out much. We remember when pizza outback was good. We tried to order 2 pizzas on new years eve I called and placed order at 6 pm they said they were busy and will take an hour. That's fine. Went in 90 min later and they hadn't even started the pizza. They told us come back in an hour so I took another 90 min and when I returned they still hadn't started the pizzas! By 9 pm it was too late to order dinner from anywhere else. What a joke. Pizza restaurants should be able to easily make pizzas... The whole family was bummed. We ate canned tuna instead of the pizza we were hungry for. Thanks pizza outback

Amazing contrast. Best pizza I've ever eaten without a doubt. The Shredder is outstanding. GREAT crust, generous fresh toppings. Complements to the chefs!!!
BUT: the worst service anywhere in Taos. If you require good service and are willing to forgo a perfect pizza, go elsewhere. But, if you have a crazy sense of humor and can find the service amusingly awful, do go for the pizza.
