While having coffee nearby, I noticed this store and was pleasantly surprised by the variety of vegan pastries available, including pistachio and date options that were flavorful and infused with subtle rose essence. The Moroccan proprietor was friendly, offered mint tea, and the selection of both sweet and savory items, such as the honey roll and stuffed pastries, paired well with coffee, making for an enjoyable and reasonably priced experience at Jean-Talon Market.
