Driving back from Vacaville, hunger led us to try Mikuni, and even at 9pm there was an hour-long wait with plenty of diners still coming in-clearly a popular spot. The sushi was fresh and inventive, with standout rolls like the DMC Roll and Tasmanian Roll, complemented by friendly, attentive service and a welcoming atmosphere that made waiting worthwhile. I especially enjoyed the happy hour drinks and the bartenders' recommendations, and despite the busy vibe and occasional parking challenges, this is a reliable choice for delicious Japanese fare.
