These folks make the best pizzas in the Berkshires. The crust is light and crisp, absolutely perfect, with a delicious, delicate flavor. Their sauce is real Italian, also perfect, not just some tomato sauce out of a can smeared on the pie. Their toppings are great, with plentiful choices. I tried a pizza called a "Chris" with arugula and perziute (spelling?) which no matter how you spell it was awesome. The salads are also great, lightly dressed, great. The only reason I don't give the place 5 stars (certainly their pizza is 5 star worthy) is because the ambience in the restaurant is awful. There is no wall to block kitchen noise from the eating area and one is subjected to a racket of commercial dishwashing, young dudes tossing plates into the machine with no regard for noise level. There is no service to speak of, one must fetch one's own table settings, napkins, etc. But as far as the pies themselves are concerned, it's well worth the trip to Railroad St. to feast on the most authentically Italian and delightful pizza anywhere to be found in western Mass.
