Had a pretty bad experience. When we arrived around 1PM, there were three parties in a large eating space. Our waitress was pretty prompt and polite in greeting us. We ordered. Then we waited for an hour. Nothing. Our waitress came by and asked us if we were doing ok, I asked her to check on the status of our order and she apologized and said they were understaffed but she would check. The bartender immediately pulled her away to help serve drinks to about a dozen bar patrons that just walked in. Waited a few minutes more for the update that I politely asked for. Nothing. So I went up to the bar and asked to pay for my beer so I could leave. The bartender told me to wait. So I waited. Then our waitress came up and rung through the ENTIRE order. I said "this is unacceptable, I don't want that food anymore and I'm not paying for it" the bartender came over and seemed to be trying to bait a confrontation out of me. I told her about our experience and she asked me if I would be needing a receipt. I told her no, said I'd be paying for my beer and leaving. So they refunded the purchase and charged me for the beer while treating me like I was being unreasonable because I needed to be more empathetic to their staffing issue. If you're understaffed, you need to inform your customers about a longer wait PRIOR to them ordering AND don't get combative when a customer brings a legitimate grievance to your attention. My wife and I ordered two baskets of fried food. A drive thru restaurant could have handled that quicker and more professionally. We left about a quarter after two and went to one of the many competitors in the immediate area. My wife and I also have years of experience in the restaurant industry. This was a management delegation issue NOT a staffing issue. We're also from another state, so the situation is beyond resolving at this point. Do better.
