Good food, good service.

Will never go back after being a customer for 20 years. What a bunch of thieves this place is. All you guys picking up venison make sure you have them weigh your product before you pay for it and see how bad they are screwing you. You will be getting only 75% of what you were told you were going to be getting back. I hope that you never go back after you realize that they are nothing but a bunch of thieves

I took in 55 lbs.of venison to get made into hot stixs. They printed up a sheet saying i would get 81 lbs. back. I picked it up and didn't even have 60 lbs. When i called them they said it was because of shrinkage. Its normal to loose 25 % because of the cooking process. So why should one pay for 81 lbs of venison when you only get 60 lbs. They really didn't care when i told them that they lost a customer who has been going there for over 20 years. Almost $90down the drain

As a consumer, I frequently find myself compelled to write a review when I receive exceptionally good service or exceptional value. Conversely, when the service is poor or the value lacking, I find myself compelled to let others knows about that too.
I recently dropped a deer for processing at this establishment and paid $75 to have them butcher a roughly 110-pound be animal into "fresh cuts" (roasts and steaks). I specified that only the trimmings were to be ground into venison burger.
Imagine my disappointment when Pernat/Haase presented me with 35 pounds ground venison for which I have absolutely no use.
For my $75 a got only two roasts and a few packages of four steaks each -- about 15 pounds in all.
Notably absent from my order were at least three nice roasts, the backstraps and the tenderloins. When I questioned this, the staff became argumentative.
My suspicion - and it's just a suspicion - is that certain choice cuts of deer taken to Pernat/Haase Meats are ending up in somebody else's freezer, and that paying customers are being handed large quantities of less desirable cuts ground and comingled with the deer of other hunters.
I won't go there again, and neither should you!
