My husband, son, and I were sat at a dirty table. Our server quickly cleaned the table upon my request. She was very sweet and attentive during our visit. We ordered 2 teas and a soda which came quickly. Our appetizer (fried pickles and jalapeños) took a while to come out but was hot and yummy. Mind you, we ordered everything from drinks to dinner all at the same time - child's fried fish, half fish-half shrimp platter, and a fajita beef chimichanga. After waiting an hour, the two fish dinners appeared. I made notice and mentioned the tepid temperature of my food. Our server assured me it just came out of the fryer. While the plate was plenty warm, I should not have been able to pinch fish fresh from the fryer with my bare fingers. Mine and my son's entire meals were lukewarm at most, but he's 11 and doesn't care too much. My hushpuppies were not cooked adequately and my grilled shrimp were also cold. My meal was sent back and comped. Cut to 10 minutes later, husband's chimichanga shows up. It was hot and we enjoyed sharing it. Now, Mr. Erwin, to address the statement that you made for my benefit, but not to me... I am well aware that you are not a Dairy Queen and that cooking food fresh takes time. I am also aware that there was an event this evening and anticipated a bit of a wait. I do not mind waiting for a good, HOT, fresh meal. My issue was mostly with the temperature and presentation of my food and I was just going to not come back. However, your statement, intended FOR me but not TO me, prompted this review.
