normally do not write negative reviews but this one was absolutely necessary! We arrived at 7:30pm. Everything started normal. The waitress took our order and brought our drinks. 45 min passes and my cousin joined us. We still had not received our food. The waitress took my cousin's drink order and was going to check on our food. Another waitress and the hostess go to check on the food. We were told they were busy which we understood. 30 min later the kitchen manager comes out and asks were we told about the late night menu? Confused, we explained we had been there for an hour and half. She then says NO FOOD WAS BEING COOKED IN THE KITCHEN AND IT WAS CLOSING!!! At this point I leave to the Italian restaurant that was next door. My cousin comes over to tell me that some guy who says he is the owner and clearly under the influence of something comes to cuss and kick us out. We were sitting outside and have never experienced such behavior. I have worked in the industry and understand things happen but to come over under the influence and kick us out was absolutely appalling! We had our kids with us and had just arrived to Carolina Beach. This man scared the younger kids beyond measure. In conclusion, I would NEVER recommend this establishment, especially with kids. The Italian restaurant next door was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!
