FIVE STAR LITTLE RESTAURANT THAT SPECIALIZES IN HOMEMADE SMOOTHIES, FRUIT BOWLS, AND SO MUCH MORE. FRIENDLY STAFF, CHIC SETTING AND DECOR. EVERYTHING IS KOSHER AND THE SHOP OFFERS ORGANIC OPTIONS. For a delightfully refreshing new alternative, try Star Juice, a concept health food restaurant on West Pico in West L.A. This establishment specializes in fruit smoothies, crepes, fruit bowls, soup, salads, etc. Everything is kosher and in-house made, which makes this little restaurant unique. The menu is extensive and has "build your own bowl" options.

The atmosphere is as original as it is quaint. The friendly staff will serve you in a setting of revitalizing pastels and other bold yet pleasing colors. Decor, healthy homemade food and drinks and relaxing background music are part of the Star Juice experience. Adjoining the little restaurant is a long, beautiful garden, with ample seating.

My favorite dishes are three: the Blue Bahama fruit bowl, with blue star spirulina, coconut granola, blueberry, banana, almonds, chia seeds, coconut shreds, and drizzling honey. What is truly cool about this dish is not only the yummy taste but the delicately textured layers that make the dish BLUE. For Star Wars fans out there, think of the blue drink served by Aunt Beru, but served as a fruit bowl; or the primary color of James Cameron's Avatar. You get the picture!

My second favorite is the Happy Camper Crepe. That says a lot for me because I typically don't like crepes but this is an EXCEPTION. LIGHTLY TEXTURED to perfection, it consists of strawberry, chocolate, marshmallow, sugar and almonds.

My third favorite is the smoothie drink called JERUSALEM JOY...Suffice it to say this unique recipe of a homemade smoothie is a JOY...BUT the rest I will let be a mystery. DISCOVER FOR YOURSELF...
