Pica Chica is a place that I have driven by for a long time, but today I stopped in to try the tacos.

I love tacos. From east to west coasts with a few stops in Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Illinois, and Nevada.

I decided to try the fish tacos for two reasons, 1) I like fish tacos, and 2) I figure if you can nail fish tacos, you can probably get the other kinds of tacos right.

The tortilla was pretty good, with a nice chew and a hint of crispness from some heat. Now the great stuff...The fish was a generous filet perfectly cooked, flavorful, and encased in a crisp and light batter. It was a top-quality piece of fish. The filet sat on top of a nice layer of crema and was topped with shredded bib lettuce. But, by far the best part of the taco was the pico. Great flavor and it is so fresh that I think they must have made it a la minute. Any taco that is graced with that pico will be excellent.

On top of the food, the staff is top-notch.

I'm a past worker there.Now most people would do the hate thing I can't.We're not friends anymore but I will say,text that she does EVERYTHING TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING THE BEST AND FRESH YOUR EVER GONNA GET.Now with that being said.Tes she probably had 1/hour sleep.And EVERYTHING IN THAT PLACE IS MADE FRESH EVERYDAY,I MEAN THAT.SO NO LOOKS BOILED,OR LEFT OVER.She has thrown out product that most restaurants would still use.Not her!!!So Stop hating and Appreciate.
