I Haven't Eaten Here Yet, But When I Do I'm Gonna Bring My Grandson Ray too, Because I'm Janet and He Is Ray :) <3 And We R Gonna Try Janet and Rays Together!!! Excited and Cant Wait!

Yesterday I finally ate at Janet and Ray's Caribbean and Soul Food Restaurant. I've been to establishments that rave about their originality, this visit was due to a recommendation from a friend and colleague. Born and raised in New York and my Nana is straight from Kingston, Jamaica I was more than skeptical to say the least. That being said, Janet and Ray's is "The Real Deal"!!! None of this food scooped up from a warming dish or from under heat lamps. The Jerk Chicken and Baked Macaroni and Cheese were "Off the Hook" NY speak, Fantastic!!! My wife ate the Fried Chicken and yes I took a piece, drumstick. Needless to say I cleaned the plate!!! If I had some Red Rice, Greens, Ginger Beer and Coconut candy for desert I would have definitely been in Inez's kitchen!!! If you find yourself around East 22nd street and your hungry, sit down at Janet and Ray's!!!

I found them to be very rude! The lady who took my owner informed me there was a 15 minute wait if I wanted rice so I ordered something else. After waiting 15 minutes, I asked how much longer the wait would be and was told to leave if I didn't want to wait!

The whole experience was amazing !!! Food was wonderful, the service was great and all staff were friendly and accommodating !!! Just found this place and I will go back and also tell others about the experience ...If you love REAL FOOD this is the go to place in Tucson ....

I visited this restaurant on Friday 08/20 the food was delicious. I'm not a fish person but the the other people with me raved about your catfish and whiting Your sides was to die for.
