Seated immediately at the bar despite a long wait for the dining room, I was welcomed with attentive service and thoughtful accommodations like a splash of almond milk in my coffee. The menu may be a bit limited for vegans, but with some flexibility, I enjoyed perfectly poached eggs, home fries, and multigrain toast in a lively atmosphere that captures the warmth and charm of a true neighborhood favorite.

I was a bit worried about the wait, but luckily I got seated at the bar right away and avoided the long dining room line. The service was friendly, the vibe was bustling, and I enjoyed a tasty brunch at Alex's Restaurant in downtown Poughkeepsie - definitely recommend checking it out!
