We had our third visit in abut 9 ms & each time was worse. We wont return!!!
Made reservations & asked for a table BY the window - when I asked the Hostess, she said 'the whole room is windows"Not appropriate response & we did not get a table near the window. That was only the beginning

Our waiter did not bring our bread.....did not tell us the specials....forgot drinks 2 different times.....forgot everyones creamed spinach veggie .....had to remind him bout the soup.....asked in the beginning for 2 checks - only brought one - then he tried to say he was new BUT we knew he wasnt as we saw him 2 months prior ......asked for chicken pate', goes & find a out there isnt any, same thing with the apple pie.....he was a disaster....def. needs more training
Potato pancakes were over over done & couldnt cut with the knife......pot roast tough.....apple struddle was nuked for sure as parts were hard....it was a terrible meal & even worse service.....reisling wine (whatever brand) was more bitter than ususal....watching him as he did the same with another table.....served 4 meals & at least almost 4/5 mins before 5th person got served. It also was not crowded for a saturday night....we can see why.
The food & service has definitely gotten worse.....I would NEVER recommend this restaurant for German food.
Why is a handicap door locked??? Obvious reason why it shouldnt be locked, BUT also is a fire hazard .
Go up to NewPaltz is you want excellent german food.
We certanly hope the owners will take heed of this review ...
PS - Only reason it got a 2 is because the salad & soup were good
