Probably the highlite of our visit to Lake Placid. We took a tour around the area and found Saranac Lake about ten miles from LP.
We stopped for a coffee and were so taken with the place we came back an hour later for the best meal of our vacation. Kind of a neighborhood place, a little rough around the edges but the beer and wine list were extensive and fairly priced. The meals were upscale rustic with a very broad ethnic influence and quite reasonably priced. The staff and owners were a lot of fun and took great care of us.
