After class last week, I tried a nearby Caribbean eatery with a somewhat unclear in-person menu but was pleasantly surprised by the quick service and warm, reasonably priced patties, which had a great texture though could use more spice. During another visit, the curry shrimp meal with rice and peas, plantains, fried chicken, beef patty, and chocolate cake impressed me with its flavorful, tender shrimp, fresh vegetables, and especially the moist chocolate cake with rich frosting. The staff were friendly and attentive despite the busy atmosphere, and the menu offers a good variety, making me eager to explore more dishes in the future.
