The restaurant exuded authenticity, resonating with my Dominican and Puerto Rican heritage. Keeping our meal simple with arroz con guandules, maduros, and baked chicken brought a sense of comfort. Sipping on passion fruit or tamarind juice added a touch of nostalgia to the experience. The absence of beer was a minor letdown, but the overall quality of the food shone through, making it a great find in Albany.
