Been here once a year, almost 25 years in a row!! The VIEW, ...is to DIE FOR!!!
FOOD IS just as AWESOME, THE DESSERTS, ......FA-GET-ABOUT-IT !!! (always during Labor day weekend).

It's been a couple years since we were there. But our experience was so outstanding, it has continued to resonate with us and we still talk about it to this day. We were traveling through Watkins Glen from PA to our final destination in Geneva. I had done some research about places to stop for dinner along the way. This place was our choice because we love German fare. We made a reservation before we set out, but we hit terrible traffic and got stuck for hours. I called them from the road to say we would not make our reservation. They assured us they would be open and waiting for us. I told them, our ETA is very late now, after 8 pm. No worries, they said, we will be happy to serve you! It was dark when we arrived. The place was lit up with beautiful white lights, and looked like a fairy tale. We entered the building, 30 minutes before their closing time, and found the hosts waiting as promised. There was an amazing buffet of German delicacies to choose from, with smiling servers that displayed their delicious treasures with warmth and enthusiasm. We tried a little of everything, which turned out to be a lot of food, and they treated us like absolute royalty! Even gave us a complementary bottle of sparkling wine when they learned it was our anniversary! We did not get to enjoy the legendary view due to the darkness outside, but the inside was also lit up with white lights. Everything was absolutely lovely! I hope to make it back there again this year, and bring along some friends!
