I wanted to hop on and warn people about working at Smokin E's BBQ.
Unless he has fixed it(and knowing him he has not)there is no AC in the kitchen so it gets so hot back there. Probably well over 100°.
While the work is easy the boss is not always a nice person.
Back story,
I worked there for over a year. I was the #1 person he'd call when he needed something, like when he forgot half his food while going out with the food truck(which I came in on a Saturday, made extra food and brought it out to him), I'd pick up extra shifts and even came in to help on sundays a few times(the one day I said I wasn't able to help).
The first event he had with his food truck I came in at 4am to do my morning shift and ended up helping him prep all the food for the festival the next day and didn't get finished until 5pm. And the next morning he had forgotten alot of crap so I came in at 8am and worked the food truck with them until 5or6pm again.
This is some of it.
And while I could of said no to all of that the fact of the matter was I didn't.
Fash forward to April, where I miss 3 days of work(due to being in so much pain I ended up in the hospital)and he fires me(GA is an at will state so he was completely within his right to do so) and when I ask if he cares why I am told it doesn't matter.
I'm told by another employee(I dont think they work there anymore)that the morning he fired me he came in cussing the other employees out saying that they better not do that.
Just want to say beware when looking to work there.
