I revisited a local eatery formerly known as DG's, now called Shilo's, after many years. The interior, reminiscent of my past visits, showed signs of wear and could benefit from some updates, especially in the main dining area. Despite not being a fancy establishment, it offered a step up from typical diners, with a pleasant bar and a promising outdoor patio for sunny days. The service was welcoming, with a friendly hostess allowing us to choose our table and an attentive waitress guiding us through the extensive menu options, which included enticing daily specials like the flavorful steak and the generously filled club sandwich. The freshly prepared dishes, such as my sandwich bursting with crispy bacon, fresh turkey, and vibrant vegetables, delivered a taste experience that surpassed any club sandwich I had encountered before, leaving me pleasantly surprised and satisfied.
