After waiting an hour for our food to be served, one of our party found the waitress and said we would be leaving if our very simple orders (two salads and a flatbread with cheese on it) did not arrive soon. The waitress showed up with the food with the hostess in tow, who's idea of an apology was to offer a series of excuse that were patently absurd. "We've been slammed" (half three tables in the restaurant were empty", "we have 40 people on our patio" (um, you have six 4 tops outside, none of which were occupied when we left, and 6 X 4 = 24, so how could there have been "40 people". One of party said "Well, it was the same the last time I ate here", and I pointed out there were six empty tables int he room, so they were hardly "slammed"the said 'It's summer, and only three restaurants in town are open." Her tone was anything but apologetic, so I said "Actually, your apology is not helping" to which she responded huffily' Well YOU attitude isn't helping." I am anything but a difficult customer, having worked in food service, and this is the first negative review I have ever posted for a restaurant, but the hostess was so incredibly ride I feel compelled to warn others. There are other restaurants in town that will treat you better.
