A couple of friends, my daughter & I recently made our debut visit to this quaint, little trattoria. The service began fine, albeit the server was impatient with our questions. 90% of the menu is seafood-related. This was a surprise, yet we proceeded.
I ordered the Olive, Mandorle & Nocciole, but it came sans bread; so I had to order another appetizer (Foccacia & Chickpea) to procure bread. The Risotto al Pomodoro entree was good- but no cracked pepper or Parmigiano topping. For dessert, I had Tiramisu. It was horribly bland & dry- lacking espresso & Marscapone. I've had better from Costco.
This restaurant adds 10% of the total to the bill, sans an advisory. I politely opined to the server that their policy surprised me. She rebuffed, "Most restaurants do that." I replied, "We eat out a lot & have not experienced that. She quipped, "Seattle does it." I rebutted, "This is Tacoma, not Seattle- when in Rome..." Then she exclaimed, "You are being aggressive!" That could not be further from the truth. Watch out for the Middle Eastern gal riddled with facial piercings. I don't know her name, but it should be Karen. Caveat Emptor...
