During my time on Fire Island, I enjoyed walking sandy roads and beach paths to The Island Mermaid, where the diverse crowd, creative drinks, delicious food like caprese pizza and scallops, friendly and attentive staff, lively events such as drag shows and live music, and waterfront views combined to create a memorable dining and social experience despite some dishes being a bit bland and the higher prices expected in such a location.

Fire Island is an exceptional place with sandy roads, a diverse crowd, and a range of creative drinks, where I enjoyed a relaxing date night with delicious pizza and drinks at Island Mermaid and savored a generous and beautifully plated Sautí©ed Flounder, despite the pricey dishes, but I would explore new dining spots on my next visit to Ocean Beach.

Incredible view of the bay. Love the steamers, and calimari. Everything is pricy, but these are island prices. Right next do the ferry docks, it's a nice spot to wait for the ferry.
