Been blesses to have eaten here since I was 18 years old. Remember Mr. JOHNSON and his watermelon truck on a hot summer's day. Refreshing!!! Mr.Johnson's smiling face whenever I walked into the restaurant. Been drooling over the fabulous ribs for years. So glad u. R still in business. YUM YUM!!!!!

Loved Johnsons Soul food since I was a kid and my parents took me there to by the best soul food in NYC. Teenager at Jane Adams HS was Johnson's was the place to eat. 57 years old and still can't get enough. Just wish they ALWAYS had potato salad!!!!My kids and my grand kids love Johnson's. So what if the price went up my food last 3 days

This place should be declared a NY institution. There is no better soul food you can find within the 5 boroughs! Tender pork ribs, succulent fried chicken and the sides are great as well. The collard greens are excellent and the mac n cheese is hit or miss. Though, when it hits, it's on point! The portions are very healthy! I find it quite difficult to finish an order in 1 sitting and I can eat a lot! This place is a family business that has been serving up delicious soul food at this location since the 1950's and still going strong. I believe that statement alone is enough of a testament. Can I get an aamen!
