Sunday Brunch for Father's Day was a culinary disappointment. We were drawn in by the French Toast description, " A tower of house cut brioche French toast with homemade cinnamon, cream cheese icing, and a side of real maple syrup." Reality: 2 thin slices of what looked like store bought sandwich bread cut in half with a side of Kraft prepackaged syrup. Sadly, there was no tower, no homemade cinnamon, cream cheese icing or real maple syrup. 2 slices of egg dipped bread for $14. Next up, the description of the Crab Benedict, " Made to order crabcake, poached egg with a homemade hollandaise sauce." Again, whomever is authoring these food descriptions should be a fiction writer. Reality: an English muffin under toasted, a silver dollar sized, mostly bread crumb crab cake, and overcooked poached egg (boiled egg done) and about a teaspoon of hollandaise sauce. This was served with a butter knife of which it was impossible to slice. There were 5 people in our party. Two guests were served immediately followed by about a 10 minute wait for the next 2, with one guest waiting for their dish. Meanwhile, the first 2 guests were finished eating.
Good points, the bacon was delicious and the mimosas were on point.
This is my second dining experience with Martini's. First was dinner before a show and Father's Day brunch. I would give dinner another round but Just Say No to another brunch round. My advice to the owners, be honest with your menu descriptions.
