For the past couple of weeks, my go-to work spots have been a local coffee shop in the mornings and Deadwood Tavern in the afternoons. The bar offers draft beers for $5, with a cash-only policy, and reliable internet connectivity. The atmosphere is welcoming, with outlets at many of the booths, and the music is at a moderate volume, allowing for phone calls without disruptions. The bartenders and servers I've interacted with have all been friendly and accommodating, making Deadwood Tavern my new favorite afternoon office in Iowa City.
