Updating my review a year later and this place still knocks my socks off! It's like finding a treasure chest in West Haven, with the best bar food in town. My fiancí© swears by their signature burger, "the goober," a mouthwatering combo of peanut butter and bacon on an 8oz patty - trust me, it's weirdly addictive! The menu is full of winners, from homemade nachos to a giant buttery pretzel perfect for sharing. And don't even get me started on their lobster roll, it's seriously impressive! The prices are a steal, especially for the quality of drinks they offer, with a great selection of beers on tap and refreshing seltzers in the fridge. The owner, Daniella, is a gem of a person, always welcoming both regulars and newcomers with open arms. If you're looking for a classic town bar with fantastic bartenders and a friendly crowd, this is the place to be. Plus, if you're in the fire service, you're in for a treat - bring your department's patch and enjoy a cold one on the house. It's a real neighborhood joint where real friendships are made, so leave your pretentiousness at the door and come have a beer with hardworking folks who know how to have a good time!
