BOTTOM LINE: Don't go. If they make a mistake, you'll have to pay for it. And even if they don't, you'll get ripped off for a meal you could get elsewhere for a lot less money.

My family my sister-in-law, and her boyfriend went to Paolo Lombardi's last night for Father's Day. My sister-in-law's boyfriend had gotten us a gift card for $100 that we planned to use at the dinner. We purposely ordered extra food to get the total up to $100.

When it came time to pay, they told us that our gift card had a balance of $0. Their computer system was down at the time and they said they'd check again the next day when it was up. We paid the full amount of the check.

I got a call back from them today and was told that the gift card we have was bought by "John Connolly" in December 2013 and was worth only $50 -- NOT $100. It was actually bought by my sister-in-law's boyfriend, who is NOT named John Connolly and it was really bought in April 2014. We had to pay an extra $50 for an already overpriced meal that we also had purposely ordered extra food for to cover the gift card.

Needless to say, none of us or our extended family will ever being going back. We also plan to encourage our friends and others not to go there as well.

Besides the mishandling of the gift card and making us pay extra, the service was extremely slow (even though it wasn't crowded). The food is good, but is EXTREMELY over-priced and you really don't get much for the money. The atmosphere is nice, but at the end of the day, it's pretty cookie-cutter and without much character, ambiance, or architectural attractiveness.

BOTTOM LINE: Don't go. If they make a mistake, you'll have to pay for it. And even if they don't, you'll get ripped off for a meal you could get elsewhere for a lot less money.
