So, I visited my favorite neighborhood restaurant, Lu Lu's, again and am a little upset. I'm upset cause obviously the word is getting out and when I got there this afternoon the place was CROWDED! I am happy for our neighborhood and for this wonderful little bistro. But I'm sad that I now have to wait for my food even longer than before. However long the wait is, it's worth it. Today I took my favorite girlfriend Daphine Wakefield Hopson there and we both ordered the fish sandwich which came with fries. The fries are twice fried which makes them soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside and absolutely delicious! Phiney absolutely loved it. I had enough left over to make the complete fish sandwich that I didn't eat there. As I said before, this is, or was, a well-kept secret that just us Wilkinsburg folks knew about. But the word is spreading and I think that they are going to have to expand this little restaurant soon. Everything is delicious! I even got our server to ask the chef to poke her head out so that we could thank her and tell her how much we enjoy her food. I will be back soon and hope to see you there... or maybe not! (I've always been told that I'm selfish.) LOL!
