What a complete disappointment! First, the service was excruciatingly slow, starting with being seated well after our booked reservation time. With such poor service, if it hadn't been for the four "Starters" we ordered, the kids would have been starving by the time the entrees arrived. Then, my French toast arrived burnt. Since there were eight in our party, the bill had a 20% gratuity already added onto the total cost. I believe that patrons should be allowed to show some dissatisfaction by giving a lesser amount, say only 15%. Additionally, the bill can only be paid with cash or credit card. I tried to pay by check but was refused. So, since I didn't happen to have $200 in my back pocket, another 3% was added onto my bill for the "convenience" of paying with a credit card. To add insult to injury, as soon as we were seated, I had informed our server that I would pay for all the food and drinks, with the exception of any alcoholic beverages that might be ordered by our party. AFTER I paid the bill, I was informed that I was accidentally charged for the alcohol as well. I was so beyond done with Poogan's by then that I didn't want to stay any longer for the server to correct the error. I said, "Just leave it!" and walked out. NEVER AGAIN!!!

If you enjoy dining in a room with the ambiance of a bus station, this is the place! The noise was overwhelming, detracting greatly from the food. The service was the best thing about our dining experience. When will restaurant designers learn that tile surfaces and no soft furnishings are great in a bathroom, not a dining room. I'll stick to the Garden Room at Poogan's Porch in Charleston.

Extremely disappointed. Terrible service. Very greasy blue crab dip. Horrible boneless chicken wings. I couldn't wait to get the check and leave. So nasty.
