Had an amazing dinner with fantastic cocktails and the service was stellar, thanks to our friendly server, Samantha. The atmosphere was cozy, the Italian food was delicious, and I can't wait to come back for more!

Been all around the Poughkeepsie, Fishkill and Newburgh NY area since returning to New York in 2018. Couldn't find a good Italian restaurant with good food at a reasonable price. Well, now I found it. The prices are reasonable. The food is excellent. Especially the fried Calamari. The service, although attentive, could have been a bit more friendly. But what the service lacks in personality, the food easily makes up for. The portions are enough to leave you well satisfied. The place is just a few minutes off I-84. Parking seems a bit limited. But if you get there before the dinner rush, you'll have no problem there. All in all, Vesuvios is as good as the old Italian joints in New York City. Well worth the trip across the Newburg/Beacon bridge. Reservations are suggested if you plan on getting there during the dinner rush on the weekends.
