Unfortunately, Via Appia has undergone a significant transformation after changing ownership two years ago, now operating as an upscale Italian eatery. The sausage pizza recommended by Andy S. during the original ownership era was indeed exceptional. However, the decline in quality can be attributed to subpar service, with some staff members transitioning to the newly rebranded establishment. It's bittersweet to reflect on the memory of enjoying delicious Southern Italian dishes at affordable prices at the former restaurant, and the sight of its replacement evokes a sense of nostalgia.
