Great food and drinks. Love the Puerto Rican decorations. It feels like you in PR. The music in the background is awesome as well. I would recommend this restaurant.

My apologies, if this review is too honest, however this review is done to help your business through feedback and to help any future customer that may suffer from digestive issues and/or immuno suppressed system. Pork is dangerous if not handled properly and proper guidelines for food safety must be followed at all times. Please listen to your customers since even though they are not always right, they are the force that drives your business. This business gets one ⭐ due to service and cleanliness, but food should be the driving force of any restaurant.

Let's start by saying, the people that work here are amazing people and the service was great. The restaurant appeared to be clean. But let's start by saying what the other reviews are stating... The food here is bland and with no flavor, I ordered the mofongo con carne frita, it had no chicharrón like it stated on the menu, with absolutely no flavor , the pork was boiled and barely fried with no flavor. They offered to re-cook of my food, but I asked only to change my mofongo for rice and beans, since I had already lost my appetite. The food took almost no time to get to the table and it had an ammonia smell to it, the alcapurrias took 2 minutes to reach the table and the were warm and greasy like they were standing under a heat lamp. My wife ordered the plato navideño, this one, the pastel was good but everything else had the same issues as my order, the rice had flavor, but that smell of ammonia was present here too. We barely finished our food and had an upset stomach so far, I have being feeling nauseous too. The prices are extremely high and potions are small, the place is nice and decorated with the history of our island, but is missing the key components... Flavor and quality.

I did approached the owner and we provided feedback. We hope the feedback is acknowledged and applied. The location for this restaurant is great and hope they are able to turn this place around and be successful.

This place is a joke food has no taste at all other than just salt. The mofongo extremely dry, The owner of this place is beyond rude if you let know the food if bad she gets defensive. And offers no help to the situation and makes you pay then bill in full when my family couldn't even eat the food because how disgusting it was and not mention how pricey the food is.

Our experience was a terrible one, we thought that the food was going to be like when they had the restaurant in Orlando. Once we got there, we asked for water the waiter didn’t care. She left two glass of water with one straw. We had a shared a straw. We waited 30 minutes to get served; there were no silverware left on the table. There were about five waiter around the area. They were not doing anything, once we got our food tastes horrible nothing like Puerto Rican food the server were lousy the food was lousy. The place sounded like a cheap bar very loud , I will not go there anymore or recommend anyone to waste theirs time and money going to Guavate. This is a bad name for the Barrio of Guavate in Cayey Puerto Rico. They should be a shame of them self. It shouldn’t be called Puerto Rican food…
