I arrived at Melvin's on a busy Saturday morning, joining a line of eager customers waiting to order their meals. The simple interior featured booths along one wall, with the kitchen and cashier on the other side. The menu, although straightforward, offered delicious options like burgers topped with chili and slaw, providing a satisfying dining experience in a charming small-town setting.

Visiting whitelake...was 98degrees outside so of course we had a bottled water. Stopped in to see if we could purchase chili. We were told no, which was fine, but then the lady up front accused my daughter of stealing the water. I don't know if the food was any good or not and will never know. I won't be returning. Very rude.

I travel and everyone i spoke to in town said I had to have a Melvins burger. For starters the burger wasn't even fresh and was sitting in a big pan along with many others as if I was at a summer camp. The burger was small and cooked/burned to a crisp on the outside. The coleslaw and chili were the only thing that made this thing eatable and that I hadn't had anything to eat since the night before helped. Hey for all those that think this is a great burger expand your horizons and get out of downtown Elizabeth town and for those traveling you'd be better off stopping at Mcdoanlds and picking up a happy meal.

I ATE AT MELVINS FOR THE FIRST TIME ON CHRISTMAS EVE,THEY WERE CLOSING AT 3PM BECAUSE OF THE HOLIDAY-AT THE TIME IT WAS NEARLY 247-I GOT ONE OF THE BEST CHEESEBURGERS OF MY LIFETIME!!!!!EVEN ATE THE LAST ONE FOR SUPPER. I WILL BE BACK. BEEN TELLING ALL MY FRIENDS AT 911 ABOUT IT.THANKS STEVE FOR TAKING ME!!!!
