Visited this charming cafe today and was impressed by the warm and engaging service. The menu offered a variety of fresh and satisfying options, such as the smoked salmon special and the homemade tomato basil soup, all prepared with care and attention to detail. Despite the limited hours, the quality of the food and the friendly atmosphere make it worth the visit.

Absolutely delicious sandwiches and soups. The tomato basil soup is awesome. I love the french dip and the Jamaican Chicken salad croissant.

Great soup! However, do not leave a tip! The owner keeps the tips for paper products! If you want to help him, leave a tip, if you want to help the girls there, keep your money!

YESSSSSS!!!!!! CRAB and Shiitake Chowder and Butternut Squash are BACK!!!!
I eat at Limbertwig Cafe year around, but the best part of the fall and winter months is by far the soups. They are all home-made fresh everyday and delicious, but the fall months bring my 2 absolute favorites back.

By far, THE BEST RESTAURANT IN Morganton !! So looking foward to fall and winter so I can warm up with their soups that are to die for. Too bad they are only open for lunch

My very picky, soup loving, vegetarian, 4 year old daughter and I took a break from the ordinary and took the recommendation of some friends and ate at Limbertwig Cafe yesterday. AMAZING does not even begin to describe the food or service. They listened to her, and gave her some options. We had the Country Club Veggie sandwich and a bowl of the corn chowder to share. I have NEVER seen her eat so much. She ate half of the soup and sandwich. Then an hour or so later at work, she ate my bowl of corn chowder that ordered for my dinner. She is already trying to decide what she wants to try next. Too funny!! I am so excited to find a place with vegetarian options that is fast and fresh.

My wife and I are new to NC and had our first visit to Morganton on our way to Boone. 2 other downtown businesses reccommended Limbertwig Cafe. Just want to say GREAT RECCOMMENDATION!! Food and service both AWESOME!!! No frozen burgers and fries here. ALL FRESH. Fresh Deli meet quaint cafe!!

My husband and I have been eating @ Limbertwig Cafe for a very long time. The food is awesome, although a little expensive. However, it is fresh, "different" and just great food!! The problem is the owner/manager...she is the rudest, most miserable person I have ever met in a business. This came to light on Friday, April 16 when we witnessed Jewel ranting and raving at some potential customers as well as her staff. We only go there for the food===not to be treated well.

The food is awesome but the atmosphere is terrible. There is so much tension and hostility
with the owner. Not only is she rude and impatient with staff but with customers also. You never know who she is mad at so don't ask questions just order.

This was the most shocking day ever. I have never been treated so badly and unprofessional in a restaurant. The owner (Jewel) is the utmost rudest person I have ever met to actually be an owner. I feel sure she feels as if the money is not needed according to how she treats her staff and customers. It seems as she is just a miserable person to whom I am praying for.
