Vantage Food is a meat packing company (It is a Canadian Company) I was a former employee there, the work environment is 6AM-6:30PM you get 2-3 15 minutes break and 30 minutes lunch. The work environment is COLD (<40F), you work Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday full,and most of the time sometimes on Tuesday, and Thursday maybe just one line runs.
As a former employee of vantage, the management SUCKS, they treat you like a slave and the working days sucks, they are bunch of LIERS so if you have a respect for yourself don't let them mistreat you. You CAN NOT be late to work you are only supposed to get 10 points for being late, and if you reached 10 points they terminate you immediately, they have no respect. I am a well educated person (PhD) and thought they are a good company to start a career with but I was wrong and I am glad I got out of there. They hire Hispanics because they can pay them way less $ as they do to Americans or legal immigrants. If I were you look for another company and I recommend DO NOT work for this company, they are bunch of liers and unprofessional managements....I repeat myself one more time, if you have a respect for yourself DO NOT work for this company, they have no respect for their employees as long as they get meat out to Lowes Foods and they treat you like a slave. I am glad I am out of that place because I respect my class, high work ethic and high education. Don't let them talk you into their lies. You have no room for growth, for example, when I was going through my interview, they told me that the company has "Tuition Reimbursement" then I took some courses DIRECTLY related to my work and then when I asked the HR she told me that "Oh, it's only for supervisors and managements, not for the hourly employees!"..... THE ONLY GOOD MANAGER THERE IS THE "QA MANAGER" she is the ONLY ONE, the rest not trustworthy at all. Stay away from this place, and take my word as someone VERY PROFESSIONAL, HIGH WORK ETHIC and WELL ORGANIZED AND EDUCATED. TAKE MY ADVICE.
