'Freedom' fries? 'Freedom' salad dressing? I was in your restaurant a couple weeks ago and asked why they were called 'Freedom Fries', however the young lady was perhaps too embarrassed to answer and only replied, "That's just what the boss wants." Then it dawned on me. [...and Freedom Fries were NOT the idea of George Bush] On March 11, 2003, Representatives Robert W. Ney (R-Ohio) and Walter B. Jones, Jr. (R-North Carolina) declared that all references to French fries and French toast on the menus of the restaurants and snack bars run by the House of Representatives would be removed. House cafeterias were ordered to rename French fries to "freedom fries". This action was carried out without a congressional vote, under the authority of Ney's position as Chairman of the Committee on House Administration, which oversees restaurant operations for the chamber. So Cubbie's owner is clearly an immature lemming, so it is a given that one could easily understand his thought process. "Well since France won't support our war in Iraq, we aren't going to call them 'French' fries, we're going to call them Freedom Fries!" Way to go! Way to show up the French! That will show them a thing or two! After eight years I am certain they are going to collapse to peer pressure from those like you and support the war, or perhaps throw in some troops! You are blatantly stupid so as a favor and in the spirit of good will, I will point out to you that French fries come from...[wait for it]...BELGIUM!! French fries are called such because they are "frenched", or thinly sliced.

So, if I ever come in there to eat and I want a hamburger do I have to ask for "Liberty Meat"?

Note to Cubbie's ownership... GROW UP!
