Visiting Charlotte for the first time, I tried Luce and was impressed by the excellent food and attentive service, especially their incredible carbonara and fresh baked bread. The ambiance felt classy, though the louder-than-expected music and the unexpected automatic gratuity on a small party's bill dampened the experience a bit. Still, for authentic Italian cuisine with great wine pairings right in Uptown, this restaurant stands out and I'll definitely be back.

During my first visit to Charlotte, I was quite impressed with the hotel recommendation for Luce, where the food was delicious and the service outstanding. Although I enjoyed the atmosphere and the attentive staff, I was taken aback by the nightclub-like music and the automatic 20% gratuity included on the bill for just two diners, which felt unexpected. Overall, the experience was enjoyable, and I look forward to returning to explore more of their menu, especially after hearing great things about their steaks.
