An original, family owned business that has been a staple in the Rural Hall area for years. Fried or broiled seafood is their specialty. Their fried oysters are a personal favorite as they are properly cooked and never burnt like they are at most similar type restaurants. Fried scallops, shrimp and flounder dishes are top quality and always served very hot. Slaw, hushpuppies and baked potatoes are good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Real butter would be a improvement. If you are not in the mood for surf, there are turf options such as their rib-eye steak. I like it, but its typical of a seafood house steak. Very thin and seasoned with old bay. A nice surprise can be found with their chicken strips. Not just for kids, they are my wife's favorite, along with hot dipping sauce and a side salad. Speaking of sides, their crinkle cut fries are a real treat. Never greasy or burnt and always served very hot. I have not tried desert there because I never have enough room left over after one of their excellent meals!
