We go there every weekend just about did not get but 6fish and little shrimp for 28.00 we usually get enough to eat for 2days and the slaw is not good used to be the best around I tryed calling but phones stayed busy

Love this place. The mushrooms and chicken livers are absolutely delicious!!! BUT the seafood platter is the best! It is a treat that I give myself. Staff is so pleasant and everyone is smiling even the busboys.

The catfish is nicely fried crisp however, it appears the catfish filet is spilt in half battered and fried. I was disappointed . The sides and appetizer(fried mushrooms) were superb and the service and atmosphere were excellent. I will have to go again because overall it was an awesome experience!

This is a great place to eat seafood, steaks . The staff is friendly and will try everything to make you happy. I have been going for several years and I love it. So come try it out.

Friendly atmosphere Great food reasonably priced never a long wait plenty of tables what I refer to as a fish camp not a restaurant that has fish on the menu (old people would know what I mean lol)

I love riverside , the food is excellent, the service is the best . That being said some people just can’t be pleased, the bad reviews where ridiculous. Bunch of whining.

First time eating at the recommendation from a friend. Absolutely perfect. My wife and I love how when you get out of Charlotte there are far fewer masks. It's a bit of drive for us but we'll be back soon.

Have complained several times since theyve reopened. Whoever is making tarter sauce is using too much pickle juice. Ruins fish. Food is good but not after you ruin with messed up tartar sauce.

It’s really a shame when you order maple salmon cooked medium to go, and when you get it home it’s burnt and they didn’t even put the maple on it. Now that’s really a sad !!

We have eaten here every week for a year. Even got take away when Covid hit to show support. We went inside two weeks ago and NO ONE working had on mask. Girls all geathered together at front. One said she had on a mask just not on her nose. We left. If I can't trust them to pull up a mask when I, a 68 year old walk by, why would I trust them to CLEAN the way one must with Covid? We will not be going back.

We ordered carry out and the only thing good about it was I didn't have to cook or wash dishes. We never eat the hush puppy because they are just not good. The slaw is ok but on the last order we didn't get any. It would be better if they just sold fish and if you want the side add them if not just pay for what you want.

For a couple years the fish at Riverside was hard to beat. It was our favorite place for fish, went every week, sometimes twice in one week. The last several times we have eaten there, the food was not the same, fish seemed as though it had been cooked several days, and reheated & reheated - sometimes extremely greasy. Our last visit, which was recent, we had to keep repeating our order to our waitress - she said it was so loud in the restaurant that she could not hear. We placed our order, and she hardly had time to take our order to the kitchen when another waitress brought us plates of food. Everything was cold, one potato was black & hard - it had been cooked and reheated so much, the other potato was cold, but eatable. Our fish was cold and hard. It was obvious that it had been cook for quite a while, and so were the hushpuppies, which we had to ask for - none on plate. When our waitress came back with our drinks, one of us ordered water with lemon, one ordered un-sweet tea with lemon ( which looked like dirty water - no tea taste at all ), she was surprised that we already had food, as were we - since it came so quick.
We tried to eat what we could of the food, we try to be understanding and not complain, but it will be a long while before we try food at Riverside again. We have had others say that the food is not what it use to be. Hate this since we, at one time, really enjoyed good food there - and would go despite needing a warm blanket - it is always so cold !!

Love me some Riverside seafood!!! Found out about this place several years ago while living in Charlotte, but, when I moved to the mountains, the first thing I wanted to do when I came home for a visit, well , the second thing I always wanted to do upon a visit back home was a trip to Riverside! First thing I always wanted to do was to give Mom a hug. Never had a bad meal at Riverside. Don't know what these folks are saying about Riverside not being clean. Suspect they are owners/patrons of other fish camps in the area and are jealous of Riverside's very clean kitchen/dining area, and excellent food. Hope y'all NEVER close, Riverside!! No. 1 in my book.

Don't waste your time or money eating here !! My spouse ordered the Seafood Platter..what a joke!! He had 3 small perch on the plate... the 3 fantail shrimp he was given were so hard they tasted like they had been re-fried a couple of times.. half the plated was covered with hush puppies that had been fried too long or sat in the heat bin too long...and he only received maybe 1/2 cup of the green shrimp.... when I ordered a plate of onion rings I was asked if I was going to share his plate and I told the waitress I might eat a little off his plate she said they were going to charge us an extra .50 cents ...SMH ... there wasn't enough on his plate to even fill him up... I tried one of the fantail shrimp and told him I did not want to eat anymore..the floors were dirty and most of the tables were dirty when we went in at 3:15 pm Sunday 8/21/2016.. there was maybe 4 or 5 cars in the parking lot.. guess that should have told us not to go in ... we will not ever eat here again !!!!

My family and I arrived on Friday at 6:30 and place was very busy. Food and service were excellent and prices
Were very reasonable. This is our new favorite restaurant. Grilled fish was delicious and fried shrimp was perfect. All the sauces were homemade according to our waitress and onion rings were the best I ever had.

I love this fish camp, and bring my family from over 20 minutes away to go here. Flounder and chicken tenders are phenomenal. Thus far, I've never been dissatisfied and plan to keep on coming back.

I got my food home, I ordered 2 LG plates, I was informed that each LG plate would feed approximately 4 people. However, these 2 Lg plates barely fed 2 people. (We are not "Big" people, but are of average size. I was terribly dissatisfied. I will say the food was pleasant. Had a pretty good taste. However, I was misled about the amount of food that would be on each plate. So from now on i will take my business to TWIN TOPS! They have very generous proportions, and do not mislead you on the amount of food you receive on each plate. It's sad for them because my family eats fish twice a week, and they are closer to my home. So if you order a lg plate at River's, expect to get a small plate. I will never return to this establishment. I even placed a call to the manager, and they were not concerned. My advice to you, DON'T EAT AT RIVERSIDE FISH CAMP, GO TO TWIN TOPS! The food is excellent and you'll get more food than you can eat!

fish was was too mushy and greasy...
hushpuppes was the best part of our meal..very disappointed...it was way too hot to even be comfortable in your restaraunt..

Dont know why any one would eat here with a sanitation rating at only 94.6!!! I seen that & left..That is disgusting..

I suppose some people aren't aware that older buildings sometimes get lower ratings due structural issues etc that have NOTHING to do with the food or cleanliness. One can look up the scores in their area to see what a restaurant got points for. I have always enjoyed the food at riverside and like the newer selections added to the menu. A wonderful part of our community for many years.

I have been eating here at riverside since I was 3 or 4 years old...I love love love this place...when I moved to Hawaii for over 3 years due to my husband being in service...I tried a different fish camp...was discussed and will never go to any other fish camp!!! When I came home from Hawaii this was the first place I headed!!! Lol...Keep up the good luck Riverside...I will continue to come to you guys till I die!!!

Really like this place, service and food are excellent. Grilled items are very good new salad bar is a good addition.
