The food here has always been excellent, just like I remember from childhood when my great grandmother took me. I keep coming back for the delicious hot dogs and hamburgers, and the warm, friendly vibe makes it feel like home every time I walk through the door.

Grew up in Roanoke Rapid and 2nd street Luncheon was the place to eat . Just got back from a visit and of course I had to make a stop and eat a burger fully dressed. Amazing chili and the best coleslaw ever. You can still get your coke in glass bottles.
