Virgil's in Raeford serves up some of the best southern comfort food I've ever had, and the friendly service makes it even better. Even with a bit of a wait, the delicious fried chicken and hearty sides are well worth it, and I can't wait to come back for more.

I've been going there for 40 + years and this was the worst food I've tried to eat in a long time, I will never spend another dollar there the amount of food I received was so small and the stew beef gravy was water the chitlins and rice were all rice what a shame, it use to be something special
Those days are gone I wouldn't waste my money there .!! 2 stew beef 1 Caitlin $31.27 not worth the money

I was introduced to Virgil's by one of my Masonic brothers. Then a coworker mentioned the restaurant to me. Both of these guys love my cooking and I told them that I would like to have food cooked for me sometimes. Well, I took a chance and went to Virgil's. All I can say is, this food is Authentic and down right Delicious. It's only me so Virgil's better get use to this face...Less cooking in my home now! I'm from the South and my roots are known for their good cooking/baking. Virgil's is Number 1 Soul Food Restaurant in my book! See y'all in a couple of hours because I don't feel like cooking! 😃 LOL
