Recently had the pleasure of dining at a special event hosted by Chef and the Farmer in Kinston. The intimate dinner took place at the Kitchen Bar with Chef Vivian Howard herself preparing the meal right in front of us. The first course featured oysters with Tabasco shrimp butter, though I couldn't try it due to allergies. Watching the preparation was a treat, with one oyster served raw and the other grilled.
