This review is strictly about the City Bistro restaurant and not the hotel. My sister had her birthday dinner at this establishment a few days ago (11/17/12). We had approximately 15 people with us and we made the reservation about two weeks in advance. Out of the 15 people in our party 13 of us could not eat more than one or two bites of our food. It was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. I ordered grilled chicken and pasta and so did a few others. The chicken was severely over cooked and bone dry. The pasta was oily and under-cooked, and the salad was warm and 90% lettuce. I asked for balsamic vinegar to dress my salad. When the waitress brought it out the bottle was sticky and covered in congealed vinegar. I had to wrap a napkin around it to avoid getting my hands and clothes sticky. The waitress saw that almost no one was eating their food but she never once asked if the food was ok. My sisters boyfriend had to send his steak back 3 times and they still under cooked it. He gave up as did everyone else at our table. At the end of our horrible dinner the waitress tells us that we can not split the bill and pay individually. They can only take one form of payment for the entire check. This was extremely inconvenient because no one carries cash anymore. When I told her that we didn't have cash she told me that we'd have to go out into the lobby to use the ATM (which charged a $2.95 transaction fee). I will NEVER EVER eat at this place again. I've been to a lot of restaurants throughout my life, some bad, some good, but this was the absolute worse by far. They completely ruined my sisters birthday and seemed indifferent to our wrecked evening.
If anyone is thinking about eating at City Bistro I'd strongly advise against it. Take your business and money to an establishment that cares about their customers and takes pride in providing quality food. The City Bistro does NOT.
