I lived in the area for 7 yrs. This was a weekly stop. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the BBQ, & Sweet Tea. Moved back north 11 yrs. ago, planning a road trip just to stop in FC to get Hickory Log BBQ.

I love BBQ.
I recently eat at this BBQ joint while visiting a family member nearby. I have eaten at 10's of dozens of these places over the years, from Va. to Fla. Do not order the Chopped BBQ option - it is the oddest style ever, it is chopped so fine that it is finer than hash (or cat food) and will not stay put in the bun, making the eating of the sandwich a chore. So I can only say after eating there I will never return. Though the course option may allow one to taste something, which was the lacking factor - Tasteless BBQ - The cole slaw is not any better, chopped as fine and pre-mixed with their sauce so you cannot have a side unless you want their sauce... The tea was good, the hush puppies passable, the onion rings uselessly soggy. Our waitress was very nice, but the young woman server was an alien or maybe thought we were! There were 9 of us - some from NC some from Va some from Brooklyn...
