Visit Chili's Saturday night 01-09-2016 for supper. My first clue this was going to be a bad experience.When walking in the door I noticed there was used napkins,paper covering off straws and food on the floor. This was where the customers were eating. As I sit there waiting on a table, I asked the hostess why was the floor so dirty. Then someone came out and cleaned that area. I guess I really upset there flow. There was no reason to ask for the manager he was there and I watched him walk through the trash on the floor also. When a table became available after 20 min. it was near the bar, mind you I had three children with me at 8:00 at night. The bar was full, I refused the seat told her I would wait to be seated on the opposit side from the bar. I waited about 15min. then the hostess came back and asked to to follow her. I asked follow you to where, of course she wa trying to sit me back on the bar side again. I explained to her again I was not sitting in that area. I waiting 15 more minutes and was then seated on the side I requested. But this was between the bathroom and kitchen. If the waitress did not walk on us people going to the bathroom would. I walked around to pull out my chair and could see straight into the kitchen. It was a mad house in there food all over the floor and people standing in it while preparing food to go out to customers. I had never witness anything like that before, could not bring myself to sit down in that place. As I was leaving the hostess looked at me as if I was crazy. I told her it was just nasty and I could not eat there. She did not seem to get it. What ever happened to nice restaurants there do not seem to be any in Monroe N.C.. Usually you will get one or the other bad food or terrible service.
