Growing up in Winston-Salem, Staley's was a familiar name, with the last location closing in 2003 on Reynolda Road. Before the Winston-Salem restaurants, the Staley brothers ran a cafe in Roaring River. Today's special at Ed's Cafe was a delicious Country style steak with mashed potatoes, pintos, and cornbread, all served perfectly. The cheeseburger was a standout, hand-patted and not your typical frozen patty, making it a popular choice among customers.
