After enjoying the Dodie's on Greenville Ave., my wife and I were extremely disappointed to find the new Frisco location has a separate menu and the food is horrible in comparison. The crawfish etoufee was bland, the iced tea tasted about 3 or 4 days old (or else they hadn't cleaned the tea pitcher) and the chips and queso were average at best.
Also, the food selection was poor: no selection of blackened items & no stuffed shrimp. At what I consider a moderately high priced meal, you don't get much for your money. It appears the emphasis at this location was given to a bar atmosphere rather than the food quality or menu.

We have been wanting to go to Dodie's because it was a cajun restaurant. The crawfish was so hard, you almost had to have the lobster crackers to get into them. My husband had several drinks (during happy hour). We got charged regular price for the drinks. We ordered 2 soft drinks for the kids, got charged for several more, which we did not order. I guess they figure if you drinking, you won't look at the ticket. Well, I was drinking WATER and I always look at the ticket. WATCH YOUR TICKETS.

Very nice restaurant. I really like this place and so do the friends I have brought there. They always call me to go back and eat something else from Dodie's menu. Fabulous! Dodie's has the very best Louisiana food in all of DFW. The seafood gumbo is a recommendation and also the shrimp creole. Have fun! Oh, and the staff at Dodie's is great. Thanks for listening. todd tomasella
