I walked in here to order food and all I could see was a couple eating.... i waited for 8-10 minutes, ringing 2 bells i found with no response. After the phone rang someone finally came out of the kitchen to answer it and then took my order, and then I went back to work next door. came back to the same issue of nobody even aware that customers are on property.... waited several more minutes....

Finally I'm informed that my food was given away to the couple eating there.... followed by laughter. no reason, no apology, no food... I only left for maybe 15 minutes so it's not like my food was old. I went in again to ask for an explanation and again only received laughter about it and no apology or resolution for the issue.

Was just there for over 45 minutes and got nothing. When we arrived, the server said we'd have to wait 30 minutes. We did and returned. Nothing was prepared.

We were then told to wait another 15 minutes. I agreed, but for some reason the woman who was apparently running the place told us we'd have to wait longer. I looked inside the restaurant, there were literally 3 people there. Three.

I got a refund and wasted 45 minutes of my life at this place. The workers spoke Mandarin (not Japanese) and did not seem so busy that they'd ignore a simple order placed by us, a pair who were actually there, waiting.

We will NEVER go to Umi again. Ever.
