I think Alfred K. may have gotten it wrong about Dolce Vita. It's actually really welcoming and not at all snobbish. The prices are decent, the staff are friendly, and I love the family-friendly vibe - it's the kind of spot my in-laws would enjoy. The little old man playing the accordion on a Friday night added a cute touch, though the smoking section can be a downside. Overall, it's become one of my top restaurants. I've been searching for a similar dish to their tortellini con panna since moving to Chicago, but nothing has matched up yet. It's a cozy mom-and-pop place with delicious food that my family always enjoys. I'm already planning to celebrate my birthday there when I visit Michigan in October!
