NEVER in all of my 63 years have I been completely unable to eat a meal at a restaurant. This restaurant boasts
" Country Cooking". NOT ONE COUNTRY cook I know woukd serve fake mashed potatoes, a piece of leather and call it a steak, FAKE frozen shrimp and hush puppies, and call it fresh. My husband and I were so starved , we devoured the so called tossed salad: Some iceberg lettuce with a few shavings of carrots. The rest of it, we simply could not eat, and my husband had ordered fries. Even they tasted like old oil!! How do they stay open??
My husband felt badly, because he had suggested we stop here, knowing AT ONE TIME, he'd had a good meal there......years ago. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! And I feel bad saying that!!!

My wife & I eat there almost every Sunday for lunch. Their beef tips cooked with onions & peppers with gravy is one of their great entree's. The salmon patties are cooked the old fashioned way & taste wonderful!! The food is delicious & the service is much better that many of the restaurants that we have visited in Boone. I highly recommend this restaurant to all my friends.
